118 Top Players from 19 Clubs to be Scouted at Hawai'i's PDP Showcase

Over the next two weekends on the islands of Oʻahu and Maui, the Major Island Soccer Organization Junior League (MJL) and Hawaii Soccer Federation (HSF) will be hosting US Club Soccer’s Player Development Program—at the Waipiʻo Soccer Complex in Waipahu and Keōpūolani Park in Wailuku.  118 top players from 19 clubs and all four major Hawaiian islands will be in attendance.  The selection rosters for both camps were formed as a result of an extensive recommendation and scouting process that included observations during league play, state cup competition, and elite player training and scrimmage events.  Read Full Story >>>

2017 US Club Soccer Hawaiʻi State Cup

A total of 68 teams representing the islands' top clubs are competing in the 2017 US Club Soccer Hawai'i State Cup this weekend (April 14-16)—at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Complex on O'ahu.  State Cup title winners (13-U and above) will gain direct berth to US Club Soccer's National Cup XVI Finals at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana—offered at no additional cost to players.  US Club Soccer's National Finals is the culminating event of a cup-based championship series—for winning teams from five regional competitions and a dozen qualifying state cups—such as NorCal, New York, and the Hawai'i State Cup.  Read Full Story >>>

2017 Hawaii Futsal State Championships to be Hosted by Big Island Futsal

US Club Soccer just announced that its id2 National Selection Tour Roster will be released shortly, where the Top-18 boys in the 2016 target cycle will travel to Spain in early April—to compete in the 17th Annual Mediterranean International Cup.  No details have been released as to the national selection for girls, who typically attend the Nike National Training Camp—powered by ECNL and id2—at Nike Headquarters in Oregon.  Said selections are based on performances from four id2 Training Camps held in 2016.  The fourth and final (2016) id2 Camp at Casa Grande, Arizona, was attended by 11 Hawai'i players—selected as a result of attending one of two US Club Soccer PDP's—Hosted by the MISO Junior League on O'ahu and the Hawaii Soccer Federation on Maui.  Read Full Story >>>

Austronesian Futsal Cup [2016]

On December 2, the Australian Futsal Association’s (AFA) National 12-U Boys Team arrived on Maui for a 10-day tour, which culminated in a tournament on December 10-11, against Hawaii Futsal’s (12/13-U) Ekahi and Elua teams.  The 2nd annual international matchup was founded through a partnership between Hawaii Futsal, the Australian Futsal Association, and the United States Futsal Federation—the governing body for the sport of futsal within the U.S.  The Austronesian Futsal Cup was named to commemorate the migration of indigenous (Austronesian) peoples out of Africa by way of the Pacific, to parts of Asia, Australia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.  Read Full Story >>>

Soccer Fields Named After Justin "Buddy" Perry in Keaʻau, Puna

On November 29, 2016, the Nā Hoa O Puna Soccer Club held a blessing ceremony for the newly named, Buddy Perry Soccer Fields, at the Herbert Shipman Park in Keaʻau, Puna.  On November 16, the County of Hawaiʻi Council adopted the fields’ name in honor of the late Justin Masayoshi “Buddy” Perry, by way of a bill introduced by Councilman, Daniel Paleka, Jr.  Perry’s soccer club, Nā Hoa O Puna, requested the Council’s action after Perry’s passing on December 13, 2015.  Read Full Story >>>

On October 14 and 15, forty-seven players from fourteen different Maui, Kauaʻi and Big Island clubs participated in the US Club Soccer pdp—Hosted by the Hawaii Soccer Federation—held at Keōpūolani Park in Wailuku.  Invitations to attend the Maui pdp were based on recommendations of top talent—received from coaches and Club Directors—combined largely with objective scouting of players who compete in the US Club Soccer (USCS) Hawaii State Cup, and the Hawaii Soccer Federation (HSF) Premier League.  Read Full Story >>>
